ESPN Loving Matt Ryan (October 10, 2007):

The football experts at ESPN have been all over Matty Ice today. Mel Kiper now considers Ryan the best QB in the country, and Jesse Palmer named Ryan his favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Read more about it here.


Matt Ryan's Stock is Soaring (October 9, 2007):

Another week, another win. Ryan had a very efficient, effective showing in the BC rout of Bowling Green this weekend. As other candidates keep losing, Ryan keeps winning. Now, the BC schedule does get a lot more difficult starting this week at Notre Dame. However, the good news is that Matt Ryan is now on everyone's Heisman radar.

ESPN Heisman Watch Showing Ryan Some Love (October 2, 2007):

After a weekend in which half the top ten lost, Matt Ryan and the Eagles keep moving up in the rankings.  Ryan's Heisman stock is also shooting up.  In this week's edition of ESPN's Heisman Watch, Ryan has moved into the top 5. Also this week, Todd McShay picked Ryan as the #2 Heisman candidate, trailing only Andre Woodson.

Ryan Makes Two Radio Appearances (September 28, 2007):

Matt Ryan made joined a couple local radio hosts to chat this Wednesday and Friday.  On Wednesday, he was a guest on WEEI's Dale & Holley Show. Today, he was on 1510 The Zone as the Sporting News Radio College Football Player of the Week.  Both clips are available here.

We thought it would be interesting to compare Matt Ryan's stats from this year to those of last year's Heisman Trophy winner, Troy Smith.  We will use Ryan's numbers from the first four games to project his 2007 season stat line, and will then compare this line to Smith's full.....

Earlier this week, Mel Kiper posted his list of the top 5 senior QBs. He currently has Matt Ryan listed at #3 on his list behind Brian Brohm and Andre Woodson.

Welcome to RyanForHeisman.com.  This site will follow Boston College's Matt Ryan throughout his senior year as he moves closer and closer to Heisman contention.  In addition to tracking news stories and media references, we will also provide our own insight and analysis.
